The choice of material for blister pharmaceutical packaging is completely determined by the sensitivity of merchandise from outside components like light, air, heat, and moisture. Since every pharmaceutical product has an individual amount of resistance, the sort of storage and material are chosen only after thorough tests and considering several variables.

Those tests are conducted through the stability studies, to identify which substance is acceptable for them. There are various categories and subcategories of unit dose blister packaging material, which can be chosen according to their suitability with the item.

Forming Films

To make a deep-drawn pocket at the blister packaging (which comprises the merchandise ), plastic materials are used. Mostly used plastic forming movies are polypropylene (PP), PVDC (polyvinylidene chloride), polyvinyl chloride (PVC1), and PVC and ACLAR (CTFE). They may look similar in appearance but vary greatly in their attributes.

They're used together with aluminum foil (known as lidding material) to airtight the forming film instance. To finish the incorporated blister packaging both forming movies and lidding material must complement each other.

Lidding Substance

Lidding substances are used for sealing when pills or capsules are fed into the forming film instances. They consist of support material like aluminum, using a printed primer on the same side, and sealing agent on the other. The side of the sealing agent is faced with the goods and forming a film, then it's sealed with a heating technique.
